During this 90 minute session you will be introduced to the 6 fundamental principles of the original teaching of Joseph Pilates who invented “ Contrology” otherwise known today as Pilates .
Master teacher,Thalia Thomas, will share her 34 years of experience and knowledge to better prepare you to succeed at reaching your mind and body goals.

Prerequisite: All levels

Whether you are returning to exercise from an injury, are currently facing physical limitations and pain or want to protect your body from injury, this master class is for you.
You will learn how modify Pilates exercises to protect your body, skills on how to detect exercises that are not appropriate for you, and safe practical tips you can implement to thrive in a group class setting .
Areas of concern that we will address are knee, hip, neck, shoulders and lower back. Along with vital preventative information to protect your body from further complications.

Investment $55 per/master class

In This Course You Will Learn:

Anatomical Terminology and Skeletal Systems, Understanding The "Core", Muscles and their Function, Postural Alignment, Respiratory Biomechanics and Pelvic Wheel Systems.
We recommend this course for those who wish to deepen their knowledge and understanding of how we live in this miraculous structure called the “human body”.

Julie Rhyne is a PMA certified master trainer with more than 25 years of teaching experience. She has authored the “XTP Functional Anatomy” that you will receive through this exclusive training.

Julie received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification in 2005 from “Long Beach Dance Conditioning and Movement Academy”, founded by acclaimed Pilates master, Marie-Jose Blom. She has continued her studies with Pilates luminaries such as Karen Clippenger, Nora St. John, Lesley Powell, Troy McCarty, Jennifer Gianni, and Thomas Meyers.

300hr Teacher Training

“Change happens through movement and movement heals”– Joseph Pilates



XTP 300 hour Teacher Training is composed of 4 parts:

In-Studio Lecture

Over the course of 6 weekends, we will learn Anatomy, History of Pilates, and classical Pilates with a contemporary approach to movement. We will also spend time learning intelligent sequencing, and delving deep how to put together embodied movement practices for private sessions, rehabilitative, and group classes.

Observation Hours

80 hours of observation can be completed in person or online.

Self-Practice Hours

80 hours can be practiced at home, virtually, and in-studio.

Practice Teaching Hours

80 hours of Practice Teaching Hours.

We encourage you to begin the practice of teaching as soon as you can. The more bodies you practice teaching to the better you will get! Teach anyone you can get your hands on.

The observation, self-practice, and practice teaching hours can be completed at XTP if scheduled in advance. Upon completion of hours, if you choose , you will schedule a date to take your practical and written exam. Upon successful completion of the above requirements, you will receive a Certificate from XTP and an opportunity to become a PMA-Certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Teacher.

Anatomy and Pilates History

Weekend 1 + 2

January 17-19
January 31- February 2


The first two weekends we will explore and learn Anatomy and Pilates History.  Functional Anatomy & Alignment. Pre- and Postnatal Pilates.

Expect to move into your own practice so that you embody the movement principals from your own authentic movement experiences. You will learn the  the fundamentals of teaching in these first two weekends together!

Mat Pilates Repertoire

Weekend 3 + 4

February 14-16
February  28-March 2


The second two weekends we will explore classical mat repertoire and the exclusive XTP Reformer. How to teach from a contemporary perspective.

Expect 45-50 minute master classes. Repertoire Breakdown and Teaching Practice. The Art of Sequencing for Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced Students

The XTP Reformer and Hands-on Adjustments

Weekend 5 + 6

March 14-16
March 28-30

The final two weekends we will delve deeper into Pilates Anatomy and group class sequencing on the XTP reformer. Finalizing our time together with additional  hands on adjustments in private and group class setting.

Expect lots of body work, movement, and hands on learning how to touch with intention.

100% attendance of the training hours is required in order to receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible for Certification. Makeup sessions will be offered at the rate of $150 per hour . In the event of an absence, make-up hours can be completed by booking an additional private session(s) with Janine.
